Registration Settings
Through some of the following attributes, organizer can control certain aspects of User registration.
| Setting | Description |
| Allow Registrations | Turn this off to close registrations. By default, registrations shall be open until the end time of the CTF. |
| Approve All Registrations | Turn this off to customize who can register. By default, registration will be open and unrestricted to all. |
| Ask Country | Turn this on to ask for the nationality of the contestant during signup. This will generate a country-wise scoreboard and enable a country filter on the scoreboard. |
| Ask Affiliation | Turn this on to ask for affiliation on signup. Useful for asking school, university, company name, etc. This will generate an affiliation body wise scoreboard and support for filtering based on affiliation on the scoreboard. |
| Allow Avatar Upload | Turn this on to allow contestants to upload their own avatar. By default, users can only select from a set of pre-defined avatars. |

Custom Profile Fields
Manage custom profile fields for each individual contestants. These fields will be asked for every team member in case of a team registration.
These fields can be used to ask for any additional information from the contestants. For example, you can ask for phone number, shirt size, school name, city, etc.
Special Profile Fields
There are some special profile fields that could be enabled at a contestant level (common for all team members). These are as follows:
Country- Nationality of the contestant.Affiliation- Affiliation (such as company, university, school etc.) of the contestant.
The participant's answer to these fields will also be displayed on their profile, to anyone who has access to view the profile (such as public or other contestants), unlike custom fields which is only visible to the participant and the organizers.
These can be enabled from the Registration Settings section, and will work independently of the custom profile fields.
Please note, these fields will be only asked to the captain of the team, in case of a team registration.
Unlike Custom Profile Fields and Registration Form Fields, the platform will support filtering the scoreboard, showing separate analytics etc. based on these fields.
Please Note - If you are for example, having an event where there could be team members from different countries, and you want to individually collect the country of each team member, you should instead use the Custom Profile Fields to do so. Similarly, for affiliation, you can use the Custom Profile Fields to collect the affiliation of each team member, if needed.
Users will be able to edit these fields from the manage account page, unless you have locked profile editing.
Currently, users cannot be filtered or searched based on these fields. The collected information is only visible when viewing a user's profile in manage page, or through exporting the user list as CSV.
Registration Form Fields
Add and manage custom fields to ask contestants during registration. In case of team registration, the captain of the team alone needs to fill these custom fields, unlike custom profile fields which every member needs to fill.
The captain of the team will be able to edit these fields from the manage account page, unless you have locked profile editing.
Teams or users cannot be filtered or searched based on these fields. The collected information is only visible when viewing a user's (or team's) profile in manage page, or through exporting the user/ team list as CSV.
